The main purpose of the position

We are currently looking for a Labor and Welfare Inspector in Sukkur, Pakistan to be part of our global team working together to improve our vision – our future.

Important responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all temporary and federal labor laws of Pakistan and liaise with government officials and local labor inspectors.
  • Assist in developing site specific labor management plans / SOPs and to ensure this, in case of non-compliance report to HSSE Manager and relevant stakeholders and follow up along with corrective / precautionary measures.
  • Ensure that a written employment contract is available with the workforce and that the terms of employment are in accordance with labor laws.
  • To ensure that valid IDs / CNICs are available with manpower. Prohibition of child labor, procedure of internal grievances in its entirety.
  • Assist the HSSE Manager in preparing daily / weekly / reports.
  • Regularly inspect worker’s accommodation and issue inconsistency reports to contractors.
  •  Review job descriptions for contractors at all levels and include HSSE scope in their JDs.
  • Connection with Labor Department, Local Police, EOBI (Employees Old Age Benefit Insurance), ESSI (Employees Social Security Insurance), Group Life Insurance, NADRA etc.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Minimum Graduate / MBA (HR) / MPA
  •  2-3 Years / 1-2 years renewable energy project, work experience on site
  • Fluent in both English, Urdu and Sindhi.
  • Have knowledge and experience of the best industrial practices and have the ability to implement them on site.
  • ILO, UNO, aware of human rights requirements regarding workers
  • Pakistan’s national and temporary laws need to be updated.
